Mantra
Mantra Meditation is an ancient technology, it's my favourite style of meditation. I've felt such potent effects and deep shifts. Sounds and words create different vibrations in the atmosphere.
You've probably all seen the experiments by Dr Emoto with water crystals, how words influence our minds and body structures. The water molecules were played sounds of love, happiness, positivity and a different set were played more negative words and the crystals from the positive set formed beautiful well organised patterns.
Well consider the effects on your cells and your energy field when we chant these ancient mantras and sounds. Even a simple affirmation of love can create a powerful shift in our physical body and wellbeing. So let's raise our collective vibration together.
The Equinox on September 23rd is shaking things up and blowing the winds of change. Do you feel it? Have you noticed how a lot has been falling away lately? Energy moving and shifting us to evolve and grow.
We all know and feel the beauty and powerful healing that comes from being among the trees or connecting with nature and its cycles. Walking barefoot or bathing in the ocean waters. So honouring and tuning in at these sacred times like Equinoxes, Solstices brings us balance and connection. Read more about the Equinox here.
So, what better time to begin a 40 day sadhana?
A Sadhana (daily practise) has roots in all yogic traditions, it is believed that 40 days is the time it takes to develop a new habit and to deepen your experience of the practise.
Making a commitment to showing up everyday to nourish your soul is hard but so transformational.
Keep it simple, join me in this 11 minute mantra meditation, known as the Morning Call, Long Chant or Adi Shakti Mantra. If 11 minutes doesn't work for you right now, you could commit to 3 minutes Breathwork instead, whatever will work for you.
A little more about the mantra...This mantra creates a relationship between the individual soul and the Universal Soul. It is said that this meditation can balance all of the chakras, open the solar plexus, liberate you from the cycle of time and karma, and unite you with the Divine.
Ek Ong Kar

Siri Wahe Guru
I'll be chanting along to a version by Kate MacKenzie I love the rhythm of this. Another favourite is by Jai-Jagdeesh Laya Yoga it's gorgeous, moving and powerful. Check them out or choose any version you like for 11 minutes.
During our 40 day journey we have the Equinox, 2 full moons, new moon and eclipse, all culminating with the energies of Samhain (Halloween) when the veil between worlds is thinnest.
I invite you to journal, observe and reflect on what comes up in your life and your emotions throughout this practise.
